Eastern Europe

In 2017 I cycled through Eastern Europe, from Tallinn to Budapest. This was not my desired destination for which the Bulgarian capital of Sofia was planned. Unfortunately my bicycle was stolen upon arriving in Budapest.

Still I managed to cycle 2,500 km from the Estonian capital via; Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, The Czech Republic, Austria and Slovakia before ending in the Hungarian capital.

This expedition was born from my last tour of Europe, where I found locally modified bus stops. These shelters were moulded by the Soviet regime during the cold war, before being rejuvenated by the warming communities. This look at mental health within society will form an upcoming project.

I also took this opportunity to highlight the various occupations in Europe's history with my infrared camera. As well as the sights and sounds of a modern Europe.
